Volume 13 Chapter 40: Riding A Giant Cow

A small emblem slowly formed on his underarm. It was glowing orange before disappearing. Keith grinned as he suggested, “Hmm, for your name, how about Gala?”

“Moo!” The cow licked his face while he hugged her, “So adorable. Now that I stare at you some more, you’re adorable!” Soft and silly. Almost all of his animals were adorable.

Keith raised a carrot up, “Do you want?” “Moo!” The cow didn’t hesitate to eat it off his hand.

Erwin tilted his head, “Do you have a natural affinity with monsters or something?” Strange. The way he was able to communicate with animals was unheard of. Unless he had an ability, then sure. However, this was absurd.

Scratching his head, “It’s nothing much. And I don’t think I have superpowers. I just like them.” He didn't have any abilities; he just liked them.

"..." You think taming a cowtaur this easily is not exceptional? Erwin was not buying that at all! However, Keith soon got up, “We need to head to the floor boss.” Now that they had gotten Gala, it was time for them to head down.

Erwin twirled his hands back and forth, grinning, “No problem; let me handle the boss, Keith.”

“Eh?”

“I’ve been itching to make a move after feasting.” All that snacking had made him eager. His body was full of energy and eager to let loose on the floor boss.

Keith laughed, “Of course. Go ahead.”

He wasn't going to say no. Gala nudged his back, "What's the matter?" He stroked her head, and she flipped the two onto her back!

“Aww, are you going to bring us there?” “Moo!” The cow slowly waddled toward the floor. It seemed to know where it was.

Unlike Knight, who was agile and quick, Gala was slow but enjoyable and quite pleasant. Her movement was similar to that of Mir and the other Samuis. That was when they slowly arrived at the floor boss.

Erwin crunched his knuckles. “Alright.” As the trio entered, they saw the giant monster before them. Erwin grinned as he took a long sword, “Check this out.” Before the beast could have the chance to do anything to him,

BOOOM!

“…” Keith’s eyes widened as he stared at the massacre…No, it couldn't be considered a massacre since it didn’t last long enough. It was such an instant kill that he had never seen before.

What in the world did he just do?

Numerous thoughts came into Keith's mind, trying to figure out what transpired. What he witnessed was Erwin lifting his blade, slamming it down, and the monster exploding.

That beast had no idea how it died, either! That was how lethal the attack was. Something like this shouldn't be possible!

One conclusion came to mind: Erwin had insane strength that far surpassed the norm. It was absurdly so.

“We won! Let’s go!” Erwin grinned, and like so, that was when they headed back to the top floor. They were going to ride Gala back to the city. As they did, a realization occurred. Wait a moment, how are we going to-And the answer that had happened was before them.

“Why is there a giant cow before us?!” The trio returned late at night; the city didn't allow entry. Seeing a giant cow waddling over from a distance would make anyone wary!

“Umm, what do we do?” Seeing how the guards were prepared to attack made Gala anxious.

Keith patted the cow’s head, “There’s no need to be so anxious. I won't let anything harm you.”

“And don’t forget about me!” Erwin laughed. The two got off. Keith was going to say something when “Guildmaster!” The guards immediately recognized who this person was!

“Eh?” Keith blinked, then turned to Erwin.

“Ahaha! I should really introduce myself. My name is Erwin, and I’m the guildmaster of this city!”

“To think you’re the guildmaster, Erwin,” Keith commented as he stared at the man.

“I am. Why are you so calm? I'm the guildmaster! Shouldn't you be more surprised?" Keith was too calm and composed when such information was revealed.

“I think it’s because I’ve seen Mr.Kaiser fighting and Cadmus as well. You give off the same feeling as them."

“Oh, you’ve seen those two fight. Then that would make a lot of sense.” If those two fought, his standard was high enough for him to be calm.

Keith added, “But what you did at the end was surprising.”

“Oh, that? Anyone could do it if they tried.” Erwin shrugged.

"Really?" That was a lie. The two conversed as they entered the city, not realizing how they were being gawked at. That was when they slowly arrived at the adventurers guild.

“Well, this is my stop. Thanks a lot, Little Fella.” He patted Gala on the head as he got off. Riding on top of the cow as they talked was amazingly comfortable.

“Moo!” The cow slowly got comfortable as she strolled the streets.

“Thank you for the learnable experience at the dungeon, Erwin.”

“No problem! It was exciting exploring the dungeon with you as well.” As the two talked, that was when some of the adventurers came out.

“Keith?!” The people who knew him were wide-eyed as they stared at him on top of a giant cow. “Heyo, guys! Why are you here?”

“…To see this.” They heard about a giant cow entering the city. Who could imagine this?

Titus laughed, “I take this is another contracted beast?” From the way it was following Keith, that seemed to be the case!

“Yep! This here is Gala, and she’s my friend!”

“How cute!” Morgan and the others from White Lily couldn’t help but stare at her adorable face. It was big and pudgy!

Keith laughed, “I know, right? Gala, there’s no need to be afraid.” Patting the cow on the head, she calmed down as her giant tongue licked Keith.

Erwin laughed, “It should be your mascot.”

“I have a lot of mascotable animals.” Keith laughed. All of them were cute enough to do so. While they talked, “Moo!”

“What’s the matter? Eh? You felt something danger?

"Danger, how?” Before they had the chance to talk, that was when he spotted the dark aura.
